Prior Pursglove College in Guisborough is preparing for its fi rst ever fashion show. The event, which is taking place on the 5th of May, has been organised by second year students studying the OCR Media Diploma, in order  to raise funds for their upcoming leavers’ magazine. The team of ten have been working hard since January on their fi nal project –aptly named Imprint Magazine– which boasts an eclectic range of articles tackling the likes of fashion, music and fi lm, plus an exclusive interview with newcomer on the music scene, Ed Drewett. Although the production will count towards a fi nal grade, the group are extremely enthusiastic about the reception of the magazine and  determined for it to be a success; Editor Nathan Wadwell commented “We think this year’s magazine will be the best yet, we’ve tried to provide content which we know people our age will want to read about and it’s all come together really professionally”. Whilst the Media Department of

the college are obliged to provide funding for print costs, the pupils themselves are collaborating to raise money of their own; enterprises include a sponsored walk and a cake sale, however the magazine has received immense support from local businesses with a total of £100 already collected through advertising. Most noteworthy are the popular nightclubs in Middlesbrough: Ten Feet Tall, who organise various events such as Sumo and Metropolis, as well as exceptional support from Creeps Thursdays at The Medicine Bar, who have also arranged to DJ the fashion show for free and created a two-for-one deal on entry to the club for all who attend. Hitting the runway are seventeen brave students from the college who will be modelling pupils’ unique creations from the textiles department as well as donations from local charity, Age UK. The charity shop generously agreed to loan some of their stock to the team, in hope of generating young

customers following the show. The charity’s input of genuine, authentic pieces proves highly suitable for the show’s theme –and popular style of the moment– vintage. The fashion show takes place at Prior Pursglove College on Thursday the 5th of May, with a matinee performance at 12:20pm for students and an evening showing open to the public at 6pm. Refreshments and pick ‘n’ mix will be available. Tickets are just £1, and can be purchased from the college reception or the media department itself. The magazine will be available from May, costing £1. For furtherdetails, email OCRmagazine@ or alternatively you can call 01287 280800
