Busy Beavers

The Beavers from 1st Marske & New Marske Barn Owl’s did a sponsored walk in aid of the RNLI on 29th March. They walked from Saltburn to Marske along the beach and thankfully it didn’t start to rain until we reached the Scout hut! The Beavers had been on an educational visit to the Redcar Lifeboat Centre on the 15th March which goes towards one of their Challenge badges, so we decided that the walk we had planned should be a sponsored walk to help raise funds for the RNLI. The Beavers raised a fantastic £759.00. The Beavers meet during term time on a Tuesday night. We currently have 24 Beavers who join us to make new friend and have lots of fun. We play games, do crafts, badge work and we try to give the Beavers as many new and different experiences. We also have sleepovers, which is for some Beavers the first time they have spent a night away from their parents. Nicola Blackburn 1st Marske and New Marske Barn Owl’s (Beaver section)
