Cleveland ACF winning team The cadets had got the winning feeling and it spread through the ranks like wild fire. They kept winning events all day, long jump, javelin and they dominated the relay events at the end. Ive never seen these cadets look so good, they had really hit the mark this time. This didn’t come easy though, the cadets have trained very hard and the adult volunteers have given there time and skills to make sure our youth stand the best chance of success. Cadet Regimental Sergeant Major Hanna Dawkins led from the front winning 1st place on at least two occasions. These cadets are from your areas, they range as far as Loftus, Billingham, Hartlepool, Colby Newham and Yarm, Plus many other places around here. They are ordinary youths who have decided to make something of there lives and don’t want to stand around and watch the world go by without having there say and proving Cleveland has the best youths in the country. This was proved as Cleveland ACF has WON the event and some of our cadets will now go against the best in the United Kingdom at the National athletics meeting held at Grantham on June 11th. The cadets will soon be rewarded for their hard work and dedication when they go on a 12 day annual camp at Warcop in the lakes district, they will be taking part in adventure training as well as the military manoeuvres together with the rest Of Cleveland ACF. The weekend was a great success not only for Cleveland ACF but for Cleveland as a whole.
