Services set to be affected by tomorrow’s planned strike action have been revealed by Redcar & Cleveland Borough Council.
The authority will be operating some services as normal, while others will be limited or shut down entirely.
Residents are urged to avoid contacting the Council wherever possible, although its main contact centre – on 01642 774774 – will be open with reduced numbers of staff.
Customer service points in Redcar, Guisborough and South Bank are open.
Anyone whose refuse and recycling is not collected on Wednesday is asked to take it back in and put it out again on Saturday instead.
Redcar Library and those at Guisborough, Loftus and South Bank will be open as normal, while Dormanstown, Marske, Saltburn, and Redcar’s Laburnum Road and Roseberry Road will close.
Brotton, Skelton, Ormesby and Grangetown libaries are closed on Wednesdays in any case.
Leisure centres in Eston and Saltburn will close, with those in Redcar, Loftus and Guisborough opening.
The 01642 771500 contact number for adult social care remains open from 8.30am to 5pm, with the Emergency Duty Team operating out-of-hours as normal on 08702 402994.
Primary schools which have said they will close on Wednesday are Bankfields, Caedmon, Coatham, Errington, Galley Hill, Grangetown, Handale, Highcliffe, Hummersea, Ings Farm, John Emmerson Batty, Lingdale, Lockwood, New Marske, Newcomen, Normanby, Ormesby, Overfields, Saltburn, Skelton, St Bede’s, St Benedict’s, St Gabriel’s, St Joseph’s, St Margaret Clitherow’s, St Mary’s, St Peter’s CE, Wheatlands, Whitecliffe and Wilton.
Belmont Primary, Chaloner Primary, Green Gates Primary and Riverdale Primary are partially open.
Bydales School, Freebrough Academy, Gillbrook School, Huntcliff School, Laurence Jackson School, Redcar Community College, Rye Hills School and St Peter’s Catholic College are closed. Eston Park School is closed, but has invited some year 11 and 13 students in to work on aspects of one-to-one tuition and mentoring.
Kilton Thorpe School and Pathways School are also closed.
