Museum stages festive family fun

A series of festive treats for all the family will be on show at Kirkleatham Museum, in Redcar, this weekend.

The venue is hosting a family Christmas show on Sunday, December 4, with an array of attractions.

Santa and his reindeer will arrive at 10.30am, with a grotto then open until 3.30pm. The reindeer can also be visited in a log cabin throughout the day.

The grotto is also open on December 10, 11, 17, 18, 20, 21, 22 and 23.

At 5pm, there will be music and dance performances by young people from the One Step Ahead Dance School, in Eston.

Doors for the show open at 4pm and there will be a disco, with prizes for the best children’s fancy dress costume. Entry is £5 or £15 for a family of four.

The Christmas show will also take place on December 11 and 17.
