Members and supporters of Redcar Labour Party joined with local Trade Unions for their annual dinner on Friday 25November. The event, attended by over 100 people was held at the Claxton Hotel in Redcar.
The special guest was Ian Lavery, MP for Wansbeck who spoke about the difficult times working people are facing in the North East with high unemployment and cuts in services and benefits. Ian reminded everyone that it is only Labour working alongside the Trade Unions that will deliver for our communities.
John Taylor Chair of Redcar CLP said: “we had an excellent evening and I would like to thank everyone who gave their support. Most importantly we heard that across the region people are standing together to defend their families and their neighbourhoods from the
savage cuts being imposed by this Tory Lib Dem Government and that gives us all hope for the future.”
