House Burglaries in Guisborough

Police are asking for information following a spate of burglaries in the Guisborough area.

Officers are linking the three incidents which all took place last Thursday afternoon or early evening (26th January).

One took place in Merlin Close, Galley Hill, when two males went into the house via sliding patio doors but they were disturbed by a neighbour and ran off into a nearby pub car park.  One of them is described as around 18 years old, wearing a black jacket and blue jeans.  Nothing was stolen from this house.

The second house was in Little Glebe also Galley Hill.  Again the burglar or burglars got in via patio doors and jewellery was stolen.  There are no witnesses to this burglary.

And owners of a house on Stokesley Road had a distinctive ring, which has been in the family for years, stolen after their home was targeted.  Officers are asking anyone with information or who has been offered the jewellery for sale to contact PC Vicki Robinson at Kirkleatham Police office on 01642 302626 or the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
