Variety show to hit high notes

Young people are tuning up for a spectacular musical show raising funds for worthy causes.

The Mayor of Redcar and Cleveland’s Variety Show takes place on Friday, May 11, at Redcar Bowl on Majuba Road.

The event, hosted by Councillor Olwyn Peters, will feature performances from some of the Borough’s most talented young musicians.

The show begins at 7pm. Tickets cost £3 and are available from Redcar Bowl on 01642 480636 or Kirkleatham Museum, 01642 444501.

All money will go to the Mayor’s charities – the Zoe’s Place Baby Hospice, the Mike Findley MND Fund and Redcar’s Coatham House project for homeless young people.

Councillor Peters said: “Throughout my mayoral year, I have seen countless examples of the fantastic musical talent among our local young people.

“I am delighted to be able to bring some great performers together for this special charity occasion and look forward to seeing as many people as possible there.”
