Trekking for Alzheimer’s.

Laura Rich, an interior design student from Redcar is organising a sponsored walk dedicated to her grandfather, a long-term sufferer of Alzheimer’s disease. The walk from Redcar town clock to Marske and back is taking place on Sunday 10th June at 12noon. Laura would like as many people as possible to take part in the walk which will have an after party with raffle and live music at Redcar Working Men’s Club from 7pm.

Local Redcar Councillors Josh Mason and Ron Harrison are both taking part in the walk and supporting Laura’s project.

Laura commented: “I’m doing this for my granddad because he loved to walk. We used to do this walk together and I really want to use this opportunity to raise money and awareness for the Alzheimer’s Society.
“I hope that lots of people will consider supporting our project which I think will be great fun!”

Councillor Josh Mason added: “Laura is doing a fantastic job of raising funds for a great cause which she feels passionate about. I’m really happy to have been able to get involved and offer her some support. I hope that more people will get involved.”
