   Fancy a rousing evening of music and song? Well, why not  come along and enjoy The Dalesmen Singers and the visiting 60 strong Macclesfield Male Voice Choir appearing in a combined concert on Saturday, August 18th  at 7 30pm at St Hilda`s Church, West Cliff, Whitby. A retiring collection will be taken.

The Macclesfield MVC formed in 1955 and are a Registered Charity. With a wealth of talent in their midst, they are well travelled, having toured the United Kingdom and performed internationally with concerts in Canada, Ireland, Germany, Denmark and the Czech Republic.

The choir`s driving force is the talented David Court, who began his musical career at the age of four on the violin and viola. David chose teaching as his profession through life and became Musical Director for the choir in 2005.

Their accompanist is Ukrainian born Tetiana Goncharuck, who became Accompanist in 2007. Tetiana has enjoyed great success due to her musical abilities, both at home and in this country and has been performing since she was seven years old.

The choir perform a lively and varied repertoire, including opera, popular musicals, sacred and spiritual and also traditional.
