The Boys’ Brigade – Family fun day in Lingdale.

The Boys’ Brigade in Teesside is in the process of setting up new groups within the Middlesbrough and Redcar area under the Youth United Funding. On the 6th July there will be a family fun day in Lingdale to launch the new 1st Lingdale Boy’s Brigade and Girls association. The event will happen at Lingdale URC church from 10-1pm. The event will be open to all and include a Hog roast, Football cage and bouncy castle. There will also be an opportunity to find out about the 1st Lingdale Company, the Boys’ Brigade and our work in the area. Emily says: “This is an exciting time for The Boys’ Brigade – this day will be the launch of a new company and a day for all the family to come to. It is great that the local community has decided to partner with the church and the Boys’ Brigade to start this new group in a community lacking after school activities for children. The fun day is fantastic way to launch this.”
The whole event is free of charge and there will be something for everyone to do on the day. Just turn up on the day between 10-1pm.
The group will start meeting in September on a Wednesday night, 5.45-6.45pm for 5-8yrs and 7-8pm for 8-11yrs. Meeting in the URC church.
There are still volunteer opportunities available. If you are interested or would like you son or daughter to join the group contact on the number below or come along on the day.
